Your own score only means something relative to the brands you're competing with for the same answers. Competitive intelligence tracks up to three competitors across the same prompts and engines.
Adding competitors
Add competitors during onboarding or from site settings. Each competitor needs its official public website URL, so Stride can attribute cited pages and compare the right brand. You can track up to three.
Choose the brands that actually appear in AI answers for your prompts — not necessarily the ones you consider competitors commercially. The two lists are often different, and the first is the one that matters here.
Let the data pick your competitors
Run a scan first and look at which brands the engines name alongside you. Those are the ones worth tracking, even if they weren't on your original list.
Reading the comparison
The comparison view shows you and your competitors side by side across engines, so you can see:
- Prompts where a competitor appears and you don't — your clearest gaps
- Prompts where you appear and they don't — your defensible ground
- Prompts where you both appear — contested, and usually where positioning matters
Turning gaps into work
Prompts where a competitor consistently appears and you don't are the highest-value targets. Look at what the engine cites when it recommends them; that's usually the content shape you're missing.
