Summary

Peec AI is the better buy if your job is measuring AI visibility: $95 a month tracks 50 prompts every day on three models, every plan includes unlimited users, and its source and shopping analytics go deep. Stride fits teams that want the tool to hand them the next piece of work, with fixes drafted from scan evidence and AI visits tied to revenue in GA4. Analysts and SEO teams will usually prefer Peec; small marketing teams and ecommerce operators who need output, not another dashboard, should look hard at Stride.

Stride publishes this comparison and is one of the tools in it. Facts about Peec AI come from its own public pricing and product pages, checked on October 10, 2026, and are linked where they appear. Where another tool is the better choice, we say so.

What does each tool do after it measures?

This is the real fork in the road. Both tools tell you how often AI engines mention you, where you rank in the answer, how the answer feels about you, and which sources it leaned on. Peec does that measurement with more depth: source classification, gap analysis by domain and URL, brand perception and the objections AI keeps raising about you.

Stride spends its effort on the step after. Every scan finding becomes an action item, and for content gaps Stride drafts the page or the edit, grounded in the answers and sources from your own scans. When you publish, later scans show whether the prompt moved. Peec does rank recommended actions and has an agent that runs skills on your data, and it reports visibility lift. Its pricing page doesn't list drafting page content.

If someone on your team already writes and ships content well, Peec's analysis feeds them. If nobody owns that work, Stride closes more of the loop. The action items and proof guide shows how Stride's version works.

Which tracks more AI engines?

Peec, clearly. Its standard plans let you choose three models from a list that includes Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot, extra models cost $35 to $165 a month each billed monthly, or $30 to $140 billed annually, depending on plan, and Enterprise covers up to 13. Peec's documentation notes that it collects answers from each platform's interface rather than an API.

Stride's Starter plan tracks ChatGPT only. Grow adds Gemini and Claude (still in beta), plus Google AI Overviews on the first 15 prompts you add. Scale adds Perplexity and full AI Overviews. Stride doesn't track Copilot, Google AI Mode, Grok, Meta AI or DeepSeek at all. If your buyers live in Copilot or AI Mode, that settles it.

What does a team like mine actually pay?

For one brand and a small team that wants daily data, Peec Pro at $245 a month buys 150 prompts tracked every day, unlimited users and two projects. Stride's closest plan is Grow at $349 a month, or $279 billed annually: 50 prompts scanned three times a week across three engines, three seats, and 25 content credits a month for drafts.

So Peec costs less for measurement, and Stride's price includes production. Count what a drafted, evidence-backed page is worth to you before comparing the two numbers. Peec takes 15% off for annual billing; Stride takes 20% off Grow and Scale.

Which is better for agencies?

This one is closer than it used to be, and the right answer depends on how you sell.

Peec's agency plans are credit-based, with client logins, consolidated billing, free pitch projects for prospects and white-label reporting. That pitch workflow is strong if you win clients with audits.

Stride Agency is a $499 monthly platform fee plus a Starter, Grow or Scale plan for each client at a discount, all on one invoice. Team seats are unlimited, clients get their own logins with view-only or edit access, branding carries across the dashboard and reports, and account transfer moves a client's site and history into their own account if they take the work in-house. Agencies that resell GEO as a retainer tend to like per-client pricing they can mark up. The agency page covers the model.

Which is better for a Shopify store?

Today, Peec. It pulls your catalog from Shopify or a CSV and tracks visibility, position and win rate for each product, which is the view you want if the question is which SKUs AI recommends.

Stride asks a different question: can an AI shopping agent read and buy from this store? AI Readiness crawls your site, Shopify or not, and checks it against agent-commerce protocols such as ACP, UCP and x402. Each gap becomes an action item, and AI traffic shows in GA4 whether AI visitors bought.

Stride's Shopify catalog sync and commerce readiness, which grades each product's data, offer schema and policies, launch with its Shopify App Store listing. Until then, Stride doesn't look inside your catalog product by product.

The stakes are real. Adobe found that AI referrals to US retail sites converted 31% more than other traffic during the 2025 holiday season, so a product page an assistant can't parse is lost revenue.

When is Peec AI the better choice?

  • You want the most measurement per dollar: daily tracking, 50 prompts and unlimited users from $95.
  • Your buyers use Copilot, Google AI Mode or AI Overviews and you need them tracked from day one.
  • You need an API, MCP access or single sign-on.
  • You run an agency that wins clients with pitch audits.
  • You track many countries and languages; Peec doesn't charge more for regions.

When is Stride the better choice?

  • You want findings turned into drafted content, not another report to act on.
  • You need to show what AI visits are worth. Stride's AI traffic view reads GA4 conversions and revenue for each AI source.
  • You sell online and want your store checked against agent-commerce protocols such as ACP, UCP and x402, not only tracked for mentions.
  • You run an agency that wants per-client plans you can resell, unlimited team seats and a clean handoff when a client leaves.

Two quick scenarios

An SEO lead at a B2B software company. They report AI visibility to leadership weekly, have writers on staff, and need Copilot because their buyers use Microsoft 365. Peec fits: daily data on the right engines, unlimited seats for stakeholders, and source analysis the writers can act on.

A two-person team running a Shopify skincare brand. Nobody has time to turn a dashboard into pages. Stride fits: AI Readiness checks whether shopping agents can read the store, each gap becomes an action item with a draft where the fix is content, and GA4 shows whether AI visitors bought.
