— The quiet loss

Every answer that skips yousends the buyer to a rival.

Say you're Sennheiser. Ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or Perplexity for the best wireless headphones for working from home: all four name Sony, Bose and Jabra, and none names you (checked 7 October 2026).

— How Stride solves it

Three steps from their win to your next task.

Step 1: Find the rivals

Meet the rivals AI really names

Apple was named more often than you. You weren't tracking it.

After each full scan, Stride lists every brand the answers named and how often. Track the real rivals and mark the rest as not a competitor.

Who AI namesAI named 27 brands in your latest scan. Sony is named most, in 33 of 40 answers; you're named in 19.Sample data

Step 2: Watch the gap

See if you're catching up

Each scan shows who moved: you, or them.

Your share of answers sits next to each rival's, scan after scan, with what changed since the last one.

You're closing on Sony — the named-answer gap has narrowed across recent scans.

Step 3: Close the gaps

Turn their wins into your tasks

Stride drafts the page. You publish it.

When a rival wins a question on half your AI tools or more, Stride checks it again on the next scan. If the gap holds, it becomes a task, ranked by how many tools show it. Start it and Stride drafts the page.

Questions, answered.

Is competitor analysis on every plan?

Yes. Every plan shows which brands AI names and how you compare. Starter tracks 1 competitor, Grow tracks 3 and Scale tracks 15. Extra competitor slots are $19 a month each on any plan.

How does Stride find my competitors?

During setup, Stride suggests competitors from your site and you keep the ones that matter. After each full scan it lists every brand the answers named, so you can track rivals you didn't know about. A new rival joins the comparison after the next full scan.

How is the comparison measured?

Stride counts how many answers name each brand, using the same answers for you and your rival from your latest full scan. A brand counts once per answer. An AI tool with fewer than three answers is left out instead of showing a zero.

Which AI tools does the competitor comparison cover?

ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, as far as your plan includes them: ChatGPT on every plan, Gemini and Claude from Grow, Perplexity on Scale. Google AI Overviews isn't part of the competitor comparison.

What do I do about a prompt gap?

A prompt gap is a question where a rival is named and you aren't. When it shows up on at least half your AI tools, it waits in Watching on your Actions page. If the next comparable scan shows it again, it becomes an action item, ranked by how many tools show it. Start it and Stride drafts the page, using one of your plan's content drafts. You review it and publish it yourself.
