Summary
HubSpot AEO is the better buy if you want daily AI visibility tracking for the least money, or if your marketing already runs on HubSpot: $50 a month tracks 25 prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, and Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise include it with CRM-informed recommendations. Stride costs more and fits teams that want each finding turned into a drafted fix, AI visits tied to GA4 revenue, and their site checked for AI readiness. If you need cheap daily numbers, start with HubSpot AEO; if you need the work done, look at Stride.
Stride publishes this comparison and is one of the tools in it. Facts about HubSpot come from its own public pricing and product pages, checked on October 12, 2026, and are linked where they appear. Where another tool is the better choice, we say so.

HubSpot AEO's figures come from its product and pricing page, its AI visibility tracking page and its AEO Grader page. Stride's come from our pricing page.
What does each tool do with what it finds?
HubSpot AEO gives you a brand visibility score, banded high, medium or low, plus sentiment, competitor share of voice and citation analysis showing which domains and pages answer engines lean on. It then surfaces prioritized recommendations across content, outreach, social and YouTube topics, each with its reasoning. For a tool at $50 a month, that is a lot of direction.
Stride goes one step further on content. Every scan finding becomes an action item, and for content gaps Stride drafts the page or the edit, grounded in the answers and sources from your own scans. When you publish, later scans show whether the prompt moved.
So the question is who writes. If you have a content person who can turn a recommendation into a page, HubSpot AEO's list may be all you need. If nobody does, Stride's action items close more of the loop.
Which is cheaper for a team like mine?
HubSpot AEO, at every level we can compare. $50 a month buys 25 prompts tracked daily on three engines. Stride Starter costs twice that for the same 25 prompts, tracked weekly on ChatGPT only. Measured on tracking alone, HubSpot AEO wins easily.
Stride's price buys other things: three drafts a week on Starter, GA4 revenue reporting and AI Readiness checks. Grow, at $349 a month or $279 billed annually, adds Gemini, Claude (beta), Google AI Overviews on the first 15 prompts you add, Brand Integrity and 25 drafts a month. Count what those are worth to you before comparing the two numbers.
If you run several brands, HubSpot charges $50 a month for each extra one. Stride Scale covers three sites, and an extra site is a $79 monthly add-on.
How much does the HubSpot CRM connection matter?
A lot, if you already live in HubSpot. On Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise, AEO is included with more prompts, and its recommendations draw on your contacts, campaigns and content.
Stride doesn't connect to a CRM. It connects to Google Search Console, to surface demand you aren't tracking yet, and to GA4, to report sessions, conversions and revenue for each AI source. If your revenue story lives in GA4 or your store, that is the closer fit.

Which tracks more AI engines?
At entry, HubSpot AEO: ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity on every plan, each shown separately. Stride Starter tracks ChatGPT only. Grow adds Gemini and Claude (still in beta), plus Google AI Overviews on the first 15 prompts you add, and Scale adds Perplexity and full AI Overviews.
So Stride reaches more engines on its larger plans, and Claude and AI Overviews are the two HubSpot AEO doesn't list. Neither tool lists Copilot or Google AI Mode. If Copilot matters to your buyers, Otterly includes it from $29 a month; our Stride vs Otterly page compares the two.
When is HubSpot AEO the better choice?
- You want daily AI visibility tracking on three engines for $50 a month.
- Your marketing runs on Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise, where AEO is already included.
- You want recommendations shaped by your CRM data, not only by AI answers.
- You want recommendations beyond your own site, such as outreach, social and YouTube topics.
When is Stride the better choice?
- You want findings turned into drafted content, not a list someone still has to write up.
- You need to show what AI visits are worth. Stride's AI traffic view reads GA4 conversions and revenue for each AI source.
- You want to track Claude or Google AI Overviews.
- You sell online and want your store checked against agent-commerce protocols such as ACP, UCP and x402.
- You run an agency and want per-client plans, unlimited team seats and client logins.
Stride has limits too. It costs more at every level, Starter scans weekly on one engine, and there is no API, MCP, SSO or SOC 2. Its prompt suggestions come from your scans and Search Console, not from CRM records.
Two quick scenarios
A marketing manager at a B2B services firm on Marketing Hub Professional. Leadership wants to know whether ChatGPT recommends the firm, and the CRM already holds every deal. HubSpot AEO fits: it is included in the plan they pay for, and its recommendations use the CRM data they already have.
A two-person team running an outdoor gear store that reports in GA4. They need to know whether AI visitors buy, and nobody has time to write the pages. Stride fits: each gap becomes an action item with a draft, AI Readiness checks whether shopping agents can read the store, and GA4 shows revenue by AI source. Our Stride vs Semrush page covers a suite option.
