Analytics brings your scan results, Google Analytics, Search Console and crawler logs together on one page, so you can see whether AI answers name and cite you, whether that turns into visits, and what changed after the work you shipped. Each source keeps its own label; Stride never blends them into one number.
Overview
Open Analytics in the left navigation. The page has two parts:
- The overview at the top: a short Analytics briefing on what changed, four headline tiles (Cited answers, Mention rate, AI visits and AI crawler requests), daily charts of AI visits and AI crawler requests, and short ranked lists: Engines citing you, Top AI referrers, Top crawlers and Top countries.
- Deep dive below it: the detailed tiles and cards described on this page.
Pick a period at the top right: 7d, 30d (the default), 90d or All. All means the history Stride keeps, not unlimited history.
Every tile carries a chip that says what kind of number it is:
| Chip | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Measured | Counted directly from your scans or a connected source. Some add the source, such as Measured · GA4. |
| Estimate | Worked out from inputs, such as your conversion details. Labeled everywhere it appears. |
| Context | Background from another source, such as Google Search, shown to help you read the rest. |
Analytics needs at least one completed scan. Before that, the page reads "Analytics appears after your first scan" with a Track prompts button.

When to use it
- For a monthly or weekly check-in on whether AI visibility is turning into visits.
- To show a client or your team what changed. Client report at the top opens a print-ready version of the page.
- To check what happened after a piece of work you shipped.
Use Home for the quick daily check-in and your next step; use Analytics when you want the detail behind it.
How to use it
- Open Analytics and read the Analytics briefing first. It names the biggest change in the period and links to the detail.
- Check the headline tiles, then scroll to Deep dive for the full readings.
- If you see an Unlock more bar, use its buttons to connect what's missing: Connect GA4, Connect Search Console, Add value inputs or Connect agent logs. Each opens the right place in Settings.
- Scroll to Proof of work to see how each piece of shipped work is progressing.
- Use the subpages for detail: AI traffic, Crawler logs and Top Pages in the Analytics menu.
Definitions
Deep dive tiles
| Tile | What it is | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Site citations | Answers in the latest scan that cited your own site, out of all measured answers, for example 12 / 40. | Higher is better. The chip beside it shows the change from the previous comparable scan. |
| Mention rate | The share of scanned answers that named you, with your leading tracked competitor's rate under it ("vs Acme 42%"). | Compare yours with the rival's. It shows — with "Needs ≥10 measured answers" until there are enough answers, or "Add competitors in Settings → Competitors" if you track none. |
| AI sessions | Visits from AI assistants, read from Google Analytics. | Compare with the previous period using the chip. It shows — and "Connect GA4 to measure" until Google Analytics is connected. |
| Revenue from AI visits or Est. traffic value | What AI visits were worth. | Revenue from AI visits (chip Measured) is purchase revenue Google Analytics recorded. Est. traffic value (chip Estimate) is either a figure from your site's own conversion data or a monthly range from the conversion details you entered. It shows — until you add them. |
| Brand mentions | Answers that named you, out of measured answers. | The count behind your mention rate. |
| Engines citing | How many of your active engines cited your site at least once. | For example 3 / 5: two engines never cited you in the latest scan. |
| Prompts citing | How many tracked prompts had at least one answer citing your site. | Shows how widely your citations spread across your prompts. |
| Movement | Cited answers gained and lost since the prior scan, for example +4 / −2. | Shows — with "Needs a prior scan" until there are two scans to compare. |
A reading Stride couldn't collect shows —, never a made-up zero.
For how the value figures are worked out, see Business model & traffic value and AI traffic.
Cards
| Card | What it shows | When it appears |
|---|---|---|
| Share of voice | Each brand's slice of all brand mentions in the latest scan. It's the same share of voice as on Home and Competitive; see Competitive intelligence. | When you and at least one other brand were named. |
| Visibility trend | Cited answers per comparable scan, with a marker on the day you shipped each piece of work. | After two comparable scans. |
| Coverage by engine | For each engine, how many answers cited you and how often it named you. Answers that named you without citing your site are flagged as near misses. | After your first scan. |
| Topic progress | A compact view of how you stand on each active topic. See Topic Authority. | When you have at least one active topic. Without topics, a Top prompts card shows instead. |
Depending on your setup, other cards also appear, such as Close opportunities (prompts that named you without a cite), Google AI Overviews, Prompt portfolio, Demand gap (searches you win on Google that aren't tested in AI yet), AI-referred sessions, Traffic value and Diagnostics.
Proof of work
Proof of work lists the work you've shipped, newest first (up to 50), and follows each piece through four steps:
| Step | What it records |
|---|---|
| Shipped | When you recorded the work as done. |
| Agent visit | A verified AI crawler requested the page you changed, on a day after you shipped it. Needs crawler logs. |
| AI visibility | What later comparable scans showed for the target. |
| Business observation | What Google Analytics or Search Console showed for the target afterwards. |
A step that's still waiting says what it's waiting on: Waiting on a scan, Waiting on a visit or Waiting on data. Can't tell always names its reason, such as Mixed with other work. Not tracked means that source isn't connected. A step that happened after your work is observed timing, not proof the work caused it. For the full list of status words, see Action Items & proof.
The section appears once you've shipped at least one piece of work.
Agent activity
Once your crawler logs have sent at least one verified or claimed request, Agent activity shows which AI agents requested your pages, by source. See Agent activity for what verified, claimed and rejected mean.
Subpages
| Page | What it's for |
|---|---|
| AI traffic | Visits AI assistants send, where they land, and whether they convert. See AI traffic. |
| Crawler logs | Which AI crawlers read your site, which pages, and what your site answered. See AI crawler logs. |
| Top Pages | Each page's search, AI citation, AI visit and crawler readings side by side. See Top pages. |
| Reports | Reports for your site, on plans that include them. |
Best practices
- Read Site citations and Mention rate before value figures. Visibility comes first; traffic follows.
- Connect Google Analytics and Search Console early, so the traffic and search tiles have earlier periods to compare with.
- Compare like with like: use the same period when you check in each month.
- Treat Proof of work as timing, not credit. Several pieces of work landing together will read Can't tell · Mixed with other work.
Plan & limits
Crawler logs and Reports depend on your plan. See the pricing page for what each plan includes.
FAQ / Troubleshooting
Why do some tiles show —?
Stride hasn't measured that reading yet: the source isn't connected, there aren't enough answers, or there's no earlier scan to compare with. The caption under the tile says which.
Why is Proof of work empty?
It appears after you mark work as done in Actions. See Action Items & proof.
Why doesn't AI sessions match my Google Analytics total?
Stride counts only visits that came from AI assistants, over complete days. Your Google Analytics total includes every visitor.
