Summary
AI traffic tools come in three kinds: ones that read your own analytics, ones that read your server logs, and ones that estimate traffic from a panel. If you want to know what AI visits are worth, you need the first kind with revenue attached: Goodie offers the fullest revenue attribution on its Enterprise plan, and Stride shows GA4 conversions and revenue per AI source on every plan from $99 a month. Similarweb is the pick when you need competitors' AI traffic, which no analytics-based tool can see.
Stride publishes this comparison and is one of the tools in it. Facts about Goodie, Similarweb, Ahrefs, Profound, Trakkr, Rankscale, AthenaHQ, Gauge, Promptwatch come from their own public pricing and product pages, checked on October 13, 2026, and are linked where they appear. Where another tool is the better choice, we say so.
How do AI traffic tools measure visits?
There are three methods, and they answer different questions.
- Your analytics (GA4 or a tracking script). Counts people who clicked through from an AI answer, with their conversions and revenue. Your site only.
- Server or CDN logs. Counts AI crawlers fetching your pages. A bot visit isn't a customer.
- Panel data. Estimates AI traffic for any domain, competitors included. Good for market share, not revenue.
Every analytics-based number is a floor, because AI apps often drop the referrer.
How did we evaluate AI traffic tools?
- Measured human visits per AI source, not only bot hits.
- Conversions and revenue tied to those visits.
- A link back to the answers that point at the pages getting AI visits.
- Competitor visibility, for teams that need market share.
- Price for the plan that includes the traffic feature.
We checked each vendor's own pricing or product page on October 13, 2026. Stride publishes this page and is ranked by fit, not first by default.

Which AI traffic tools are worth a trial?
1. Goodie
Best for: brands that want AI traffic and modelled zero-click demand tied to revenue in one place.
Goodie's Analytics and Attribution product tracks AI visits from ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini through Google Analytics. On top of attributed revenue, it models "influenced revenue" from zero-click demand that analytics can't see.
Limits: Core includes traffic attribution, but revenue attribution is listed on Enterprise and on the Agency Growth plan, not Core or Pro. Price: Core $399 and Pro $999 a month billed annually, per Goodie's pricing page as of October 2026.
2. Stride
Best for: small teams and online stores that want AI visits valued in dollars without a sales call.
Stride reads your GA4 property with read-only access and shows AI visits, the goals they reach and purchase revenue for each AI source, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Copilot. If GA4 records no purchases, Stride estimates value from your conversions and labels it as an estimate. Each page's AI visits sit beside the tracked prompts that cite it, so you can see which answers might be sending people.
Limits: it reads your site only, with no competitor traffic and no server-log data below Scale (crawler logs are in beta on Scale and Agency). A cited page with AI visits is a lead, not proof the answer sent them. Price: Starter $99, Grow $349 ($279 billed annually), Scale $1,297 a month, per our pricing page. The AI traffic feature page shows what the view reports.
3. Trakkr
Best for: teams that want a public AI traffic benchmark next to eight-engine tracking.
Trakkr's Visitors view reads your connected GA4 property on paid plans and shows AI sessions, key events and revenue by source, labelling assigned values as estimated. It also publishes a daily AI Traffic Index built from 6,283 GA4 properties (as of October 11, 2026). Growth tracks 50 prompts daily on eight engines.
Limits: revenue only appears when your GA4 property reports it, and its pricing page doesn't say which paid plans include Visitors. Price: Growth $100 and Scale $500 a month, 14-day trial with a card, per Trakkr's pricing page as of October 2026.
4. Similarweb
Best for: teams that need to see competitors' AI traffic, not only their own.
Similarweb's AI Search Intelligence estimates AI traffic for any domain, shows which AI engines send it and which pages receive it, and compares up to five competitors with you. The entry plan also tracks 150 prompts.
Limits: panel estimates, not your measured sessions, and no revenue. One user per self-serve plan. Price: $99 a month billed annually or $129 monthly, per Similarweb's AI search pricing as of October 2026.
5. Ahrefs Web Analytics
Best for: anyone who wants AI referral counts for free and can add a script.
Ahrefs Web Analytics is a cookie-free analytics tool that shows which AI chatbots send you visitors, with custom events and funnels. It's free up to 1 million events per project each month.
Limits: you install its 2 KB script (or import GA4 data), and revenue isn't listed. Price: included with Ahrefs Free; paid Ahrefs plans start at $29 a month, per Ahrefs' pricing page as of October 2026.
6. Profound
Best for: enterprises that want AI crawler activity and human traffic from server logs.
Profound's Agent Analytics reads server and CDN logs from Akamai, AWS, Cloudflare, Fastly, Google Cloud, Netlify, Vercel and WordPress, and its pricing page now lists a Google Analytics integration too. It reports how many human visitors convert from AI search.
Limits: history, exports and the API are Enterprise-only. Price: a free 7-day trial, then custom Enterprise, per Profound's pricing page as of October 2026.
7. Rankscale
Best for: budget teams that want many engines and a first look at GA4 traffic.
Rankscale's pricing page says you can connect GA4 and Search Console (beta) to see how AI visibility turns into traffic. Pro covers ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, AI Overviews, Copilot and more on credits.
Limits: the analytics link is in beta and revenue isn't mentioned. Price: Pro $99 a month with a 7-day trial, per Rankscale's pricing page as of October 2026.
8. AthenaHQ
Best for: teams already on AthenaHQ for its 11-engine tracking.
AthenaHQ lists GA4 and Search Console integrations "to connect AI visibility with site traffic", alongside Shopify and Webflow integrations.
Limits: revenue reporting isn't described on its plans page. Price: free Essential plan, Starter $295 a month, per AthenaHQ's plans page as of October 2026.
9. Gauge
Best for: teams tracking hundreds of prompts daily who want traffic data alongside.
Gauge's Growth plan connects GA4, Search Console and DataForSEO, and tracks 600 prompts daily on six platforms.
Limits: the GA4 link is listed as an integration, with no revenue view described. Price: Growth $599 a month, 1-week trial, per Gauge's pricing page as of October 2026.
10. Promptwatch
Best for: teams that want AI crawler logs and visit data with content drafting.
Promptwatch's Professional plan adds Agent Analytics, and its agency page describes reporting on click-through traffic from AI chats. Its feature table includes a conversion-tracking row.
Limits: visitor analytics comes from its own event allowance rather than GA4, and revenue isn't described on its pricing page. Price: Professional $245 a month, per Promptwatch's pricing page as of October 2026.
When is another tool the better choice?
If you need competitors' AI traffic, Similarweb is the only tool here that shows it. If you want AI counts for free, Ahrefs Web Analytics. If your budget is enterprise and you want revenue attribution plus modelled zero-click demand, Goodie's Enterprise plan goes further than anything else on this page. Our Stride vs Goodie comparison covers that trade-off, and the AI visibility monitoring roundup covers the tracking side.
When is Stride the better choice?
When you want the dollar figure on your first plan. Stride reads the GA4 you already have, needs no code on your site, and shows revenue for each AI source on Starter. The same account turns the prompts you're missing into action items with drafted fixes.
Two quick scenarios
A DTC skincare brand on Shopify with GA4 ecommerce. The founder wants to know whether ChatGPT visits buy. Stride fits: GA4 purchase revenue per AI source from $99, with the citing prompts beside each landing page.
A market analyst at a travel company. They need AI traffic share against five rivals for a board slide. Similarweb fits, because only panel data covers other people's sites.
Frequently asked questions
How do I see how much traffic ChatGPT sends my website?
Open your own analytics and filter sessions by AI referrers such as chatgpt.com, perplexity.ai and gemini.google.com. A tool like Stride, Goodie or Rankscale reads that from GA4 for you, and Ahrefs Web Analytics shows AI traffic from its own free script. Treat the count as a floor, because many AI visits arrive with no referrer.
Why does my AI traffic look lower than expected?
AI apps often strip the referrer, so those visits land in your analytics as Direct. Google AI Overviews and AI Mode count as Google Search, because Google doesn't tell websites which one sent the visitor. Every tool on this page undercounts for the same reason.
Which AI traffic tools show revenue per AI source?
As of October 2026, Stride shows GA4 purchase revenue (or a labelled estimate) for each AI source on every plan from $99 a month. Goodie lists revenue attribution on its Enterprise plan and on its agency plan. Trakkr's Visitors view, on paid plans with GA4 connected, shows revenue from AI referral sessions when your property reports it.
Can I see a competitor's AI traffic?
Only with panel data. Similarweb estimates AI traffic for any domain from its own data and lets you compare up to five competitors with yours. Tools that read your GA4 or your server logs can only see your own site.
Is AI bot traffic the same as AI referral traffic?
No. Bot traffic is AI crawlers fetching your pages, measured from server or CDN logs. Referral traffic is people clicking through from an AI answer, measured in your analytics. Profound's Agent Analytics starts from the first and adds Google Analytics; GA4-based tools such as Stride measure the second.
