Which tracks more AI engines?
Rankscale, by a wide margin. Its pricing FAQ says it monitors 17+ engines and that all of them are available on every plan, including Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Mistral. No engine is an upsell; heavier engines cost more credits. Its own calculator prices ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity at 0.25 credits a run and Claude at 2.
Stride's Starter plan tracks ChatGPT only. Grow adds Gemini and Claude (beta), plus Google AI Overviews on the first 15 prompts you add. Scale adds Perplexity and full AI Overviews.
Stride doesn't track AI Mode, Copilot, Grok, Meta AI or DeepSeek. If your buyers use those, Rankscale wins this outright.
How does credit pricing compare with a plan?
Credits reward teams that know exactly what they want to measure. Rankscale's calculator puts 50 prompts on three engines, run weekly, at about 163 credits a month, well inside Pro's 1,200. Push the same prompts to daily on more engines and you'll spend faster. Unused credits roll over, up to twice your monthly allowance on Pro and three times on Growth and Enterprise.
Stride's plans are fixed. Starter scans 25 prompts weekly, Grow scans 50 prompts three times a week on three engines, and Scale tracks 300 prompts with the top 100 daily. You won't run out mid-month, but you can't trade frequency for engines the way Rankscale lets you. Grow costs $349 a month, or $279 billed annually; Rankscale takes 15% off for yearly billing.
What does each tool do after it measures?
This is where the two split. Rankscale goes deep on measurement: citations, sentiment, the hidden searches engines run while answering (it calls this query fan-out), prompt research, page audits and Rankscale Scout recommendations that summarize what to improve. Its MCP server lets you ask Claude or ChatGPT about your Rankscale data in plain language.
Stride spends its effort on the step after. Every finding becomes an action item, and where the fix is content, Stride drafts the page or edit from the answers and sources in your own scans. Starter includes three drafts a week; Grow and Scale include 25 and 100 a month.
Later scans show whether the prompt moved. The action items page shows how it works.
If you have writers who act on analysis, Rankscale feeds them well. If nobody on the team owns that work, Stride closes more of the loop.
Which shows what AI traffic is worth?
Stride reads GA4 and reports sessions, conversions and revenue for each AI source, on every plan. That's the number most owners ask for once visibility starts moving.
Rankscale's homepage says you can connect GA4 and Search Console, in beta, to see how AI visibility turns into traffic and search performance. Its pricing page doesn't say whether that includes revenue per AI source, so check with Rankscale if that's the report you need.

Which is better for agencies?
Rankscale is built to be cheap to resell. Growth at $385 a month gives you 5,500 credits, 50 brand dashboards, white-labeled dashboard links and an agency program with a partner directory listing and lifetime referral commissions. Credits let you give a small client weekly tracking on two engines and a large one daily tracking on ten, from one pool.
Stride Agency is a $499 monthly platform fee plus a discounted Starter, Grow or Scale plan per client, on one invoice. Seats are unlimited, clients get their own logins, branding carries across dashboards and reports, and a client's site and history can move into their own account if they take the work in-house. It costs more per client, and each client gets drafted fixes, not only a report. The agency page covers the model.

- You track shopping cards or sponsored ads inside ChatGPT, AI Mode or Copilot.

- You want findings turned into drafted content, not another report to act on.
- You need GA4 conversions and revenue for each AI source on day one.
- You want a fixed monthly scope with no credit math.
- You sell online and want your site checked against agent-commerce protocols such as ACP, UCP and x402.
- You want Brand Integrity, on Grow and up, to flag false or unsupported claims AI makes about you.
Two quick scenarios
An SEO agency with twelve clients. Most clients want a monthly report showing where they appear across many engines, and two want daily tracking. Rankscale fits: one credit pool, 50 white-labeled dashboards on Growth, and the engine list clients ask about.
A founder-led DTC brand with one marketer. They know ChatGPT and Gemini matter, but nobody has time to turn a citation report into pages. Stride Grow fits: three scans a week on three engines, 25 drafts a month from the gaps it finds, and GA4 showing whether AI visitors bought.
