Summary

Knowatoa is the better buy for a team that wants wide AI search coverage and a reporting stack for little money: $199 a month covers seven AI services, including Google AI Mode and Meta AI, with an API, an MCP server and Looker Studio. Stride fits teams that need to show what AI visits are worth and want each finding turned into a drafted fix, with GA4 conversions and revenue per AI source on every plan. SEO leads who report to dashboards will usually prefer Knowatoa; ecommerce operators and small marketing teams that have to prove revenue should look hard at Stride.

Stride publishes this comparison and is one of the tools in it. Facts about Knowatoa come from its own public pricing and product pages, checked on October 13, 2026, and are linked where they appear. Where another tool is the better choice, we say so.

Which tracks more AI engines?

Knowatoa, and it isn't close at the mid tier. Starter covers ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. Growth, at $199 a month, adds Claude, Gemini, Meta AI and Perplexity for seven services in total. Its pricing FAQ says it queries the default model most people use on each service, and that you can set language and location per account, site or question.

Stride's Starter plan tracks ChatGPT only. Grow adds Gemini and Claude (beta), plus Google AI Overviews on the first 15 prompts you add. Scale adds Perplexity and full AI Overviews. Stride doesn't track Google AI Mode, Meta AI, Copilot, Grok or DeepSeek.

If your buyers search inside Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp, or live in AI Mode, Knowatoa covers ground Stride doesn't.

What does a team like mine actually pay?

On sticker price, Knowatoa is cheaper at both tiers: $59 against $99 at entry, and $199 against $349 for the plan with more engines. Knowatoa says annual pricing is available but doesn't publish the annual rate. Stride's Starter costs $99 either way, and Grow and Scale are 20% off billed annually.

The catch is that Knowatoa's pricing page doesn't say how many questions each plan tracks. Its FAQ says all your sites share one question limit and that you can book a call if you need more. Stride publishes its limits: 25 prompts weekly on Starter, 50 prompts three times a week on Grow, and 300 on Scale with the top 100 scanned daily. Before you compare $199 with $349, find out how many questions $199 buys and how often they run.

Stride's price also carries production. Grow includes 25 content drafts a month, three seats and Brand Integrity. If your plan is to track and report, that may not matter. If you need pages written, count it.

Which one helps me fix what it finds?

Both now go past measurement, and they go in different directions.

Knowatoa's AI article generation picks your highest-priority questions, drafts a full article with internal and external links and SEO metadata, and moves it through draft, in review, approved and published. It can publish to WordPress, Payload or GitHub, or export Markdown. It also drafts LinkedIn and Bluesky posts. Its features page lists recommendations at the question level and an AI Search Console that checks whether AI bots can crawl your site.

Stride starts from the evidence in your own scans. Every finding becomes an action item: a content gap, a missing schema block, a false claim AI makes about you, or a page AI shopping agents can't read. Where the fix is content, Stride drafts the page or the edit from the answers and sources it collected, and later scans show whether the prompt moved. Stride doesn't publish for you; you review the draft and ship it.

So Knowatoa does more of the publishing. Stride does more of the diagnosis around the content, especially for stores.

Which shows what AI visits are worth?

This is where Stride pulls ahead. Connect GA4 and Stride's AI traffic view shows sessions, conversions and revenue for each AI source, so you can tell a CFO that ChatGPT sent visits that bought, not only that ChatGPT mentioned you. That works on every plan.

Knowatoa's pricing and features pages don't list GA4 or AI referral traffic. Its reporting stack sends visibility data to Looker Studio, Google Sheets and NinjaCat, which suits teams that already build their own reports and join the data there.

Which is better for agencies?

Both have an agency offer, built differently.

Knowatoa lists prospect accounts with sample data for pitching, bulk client onboarding with white-label options, and unlimited sites on one account. It also sells founder-led content strategy engagements for software companies, if you'd rather hire the team than run the tool.

Stride Agency is a $499 monthly platform fee plus a discounted Starter, Grow or Scale plan for each client, on one invoice. Team seats are unlimited, clients get their own logins, white-label branding carries across the dashboard and reports, and account transfer moves a client's site and history into their own account if they take the work in-house. That per-client model is easy to mark up as a retainer.

  • You want every finding turned into a prioritized action item, with a draft grounded in your own scan evidence where the fix is content.

Two quick scenarios

An in-house SEO lead at a software company. They report AI visibility in Looker Studio every month, track several product sites, and their buyers use Google AI Mode. Knowatoa fits: seven services on Growth, the reporting stack included, and all sites on one account for $199.

The marketing manager at a home goods store doing $3M a year. The founder asks whether AI is worth any budget. Stride fits: GA4 shows what AI visitors bought, AI Readiness checks whether shopping agents can read the store, and each gap arrives as an action item with a draft where the fix is a page.
